Gardens of Tieve Tara, Mt Macedon & Hanging Rock

Depart your clubrooms at 9.15am and travel to the picturesque areas of Woodend and Macedon. Enjoy a morning tea stop en route before we arrive at the breathtaking Gardens of Tieve Tara, Mt Macedon for guided walk through. These beautiful gardens that are graced with friendly ducks, geese and birdlife. We will then take a scenic bus drive to the top of Mount Macedon, an extinct volcano which rises 1010 metres above sea level. Before enjoying a 2 course lunch at the Top of the Range Cafe and Gallery which is adjacent to the Memorial Cross Reserve. The rest of the afternoon will be spent at the Hanging Rock Reserve where there will be time to take a stroll and visit the Discovery Centre to learn about the history, mystery and geology of the Rock and surrounding areas as well as the native flora and fauna through a sequence of hands-on interpretive displays. Arriving back home by 5.00pm.
